Student Hunger Strike Force (SHSF)
SHSF students partner with the Medford Food Project (MFP) to recruit new food donors, ensuring a steady and reliable supply of food for those in need.
Together, we’re building a stronger, more compassionate community—one donation at a time.

How You Can Help
There are countless ways you can join us in our mission to fight hunger. Through the Student Hunger Strike Force (SHSF), we collaborate with students from Jackson County to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities tailored to their schedules and service hour requirements.
This program not only helps students develop valuable leadership and interpersonal skills but also plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of the Food Project.

Kathryn Westberg
With 15+ years of experience working with high school students, I’ve been inspired by their energy and passion for community service. Volunteering as a food donor, driver, and pantry helper has deepened my commitment to addressing food insecurity. Together, we can ensure no one in our community goes hungry!

Tammy Hoffman
Hi, I’m Tammy, a Southern Oregon University graduate passionate about serving my community.
